Een stem op VVD Oisterwijk is een stem op PRO Oisterwijk
De wekelijkse columns van Ronald Plasterk in De Telegraaf zijn pareltjes gevuld met inzichten die je normaal in de media niet tegenkomt. Plasterk is bioloog, voormalig minister en lid van de PvdA. Dat maakt zijn visie op zaken zoals klimaat, energie, de Europese Unie en talrijke andere onderwerpen zo relevant. Het is geen ‘rechts-extremist’ of ‘complotdenker’ die duiding geeft aan ontwikkelingen en feiten maar iemand uit het eigen ‘linkse-kamp’ die vraagtekens zet bij tal van politiek gevoelige onderwerpen en ontwikkelingen. Op veel van die onderwerpen rust een embargo om daar kritiek op te geven. Het klimaat verandert en daar moeten we als mensheid iets aan doen. Er moet een energietransitie komen. We moeten van het gas af en we moeten CO2 reduceren. Kritiek op dat heilige moeten, wordt niet geduld. Dan wordt je verweten een ontkenner te zijn. Rationaliteit en gezond verstand verdwijnen in discussies over deze onderwerpen als sneeuw voor de zon.
In zijn column in de De Telegraaf van 13 november 2020 laat Plasterk zien dat we het kabinet van Marx Rutte vanuit historisch perspectief kunnen duiden als ‘enorm links’. Hier wat tekstfragmenten uit de column:
“Het kabinet Rutte III is een enorm links kabinet. Verlagen maximumsnelheid op alle snelwegen naar 100 km! Scheuren met je auto was de trots van de VVD! Verlagen van de maximumsnelheid, wens van links, in ingevoerd door de VVD! De wet Hille, dat was de wet waarin bepaald werd dat je ook na afbetaling van je hypotheek nog belastingaftrek kreeg, is afgeschaft door Rutte III (dat betekent dus meer belasting betalen door huiseigenaren). De dividendbelasting blijft gehandhaafd: honderd procent links maatregel van Rutte III.”
“Het klimaatbeleid is volledig looney left. Verplicht van het gas (terwijl ze net over de grens in België en Duitsland gascentrales bouwen en subsidiëren omdat ze schoner zijn dan steenkool). De CO2-uitstoot ‘terugdringen’ door bossen te verbranden omdat Brussel dat duurzaam noemt. De zee vol zetten met windmolen tegen de zin van de vissers…”
“Nog zo’n links wens, de ombouw van Europa tot ever closer transferunie (droom van VVD-partijgenoot Guy Verhofstadt) gaat door: Nederland gaat Europa fors betalen! En ten slotte : dé lakmoesproef voor links beleid: de collectieve lastendruk, het deel van ons inkomen dat we via de overheid besteden, is tijdens Rutte III enorm gestegen! De vrije markt maakt plaats voor steeds meer overheid. Rutte III is een zeer links kabinet…”
Ook het nieuwe verkiezingsprogramma van de VVD voor de landelijke verkiezingen in maart 2021 is door de VVD zelf gelabeld als een links verkiezingsprogramma. Wat WIJ! betreft is hier helemaal niets mis mee. Het staat de VVD vrij iedere politieke koers te varen die zij wenselijk acht. Uiteindelijk zijn het de kiezers die bepalen of zij dat wat vinden of niet.
Wat wel relevant is dat dit linkse beleid of deze links koers vanzelfsprekend ook op lokaal niveau tot uitdrukking zal komen. De VVD is immers een top-down georganiseerde partij, die de mensen in het land weinig ruimte laat om een eigen koers te gaan varen. Naar goed communistisch gebruik gaat partijdiscipline boven alles.
Dit brengt ons tot de volgende conclusie: een stem op VVD Oisterwijk is in feite een stem op een van de progressieve partijen in Oisterwijk.
Voor de ouderwetse en rechtgeaarde VVD’er zou dit wel eens een gruwel kunnen zijn. Weet dat WIJ! Oisterwijk de liberale beginselen wél hoog in het vaandel heeft staan. Zoek je de bevestiging daarvan? Vul het Kieskompas in!
