Onbestemde idealen
Vraag: waarom zou Oisterwijk in groten getale kiezen voor een black box vol onbestemde idealen? ,,Omdat juist de plannen en beloftes van een verkiezingsprogramma schijn zijn”, meent Vulders. ,,Mensen weten prima dat eenmaal na de verkiezingen de realiteit heel anders is.”
Tjoa: ,,In onze visie is Oisterwijk al af. Maar wie goede ideeën heeft, is altijd welkom. We moeten af van dat wij-zij-denken en toe naar een pragmatische politiek met meer burgerparticipatie.”
Oisterwijk krijgt er Haaren bij, vandaar dat de inwoners dit jaar al stemmen. Vulders zit al drie jaar in de raad. In januari zette PrO haar uit de fractie, nadat ze het gemeentebestuur had weggezet als ‘25 corrupte lui, die allemaal de overheid steunen’.
De raad eiste excuses, Vulders weigerde, met een motie van afkeuring als gevolg. ,,Ik begrijp dat mijn woorden negatieve emoties triggerden. Maar het was niet persoonlijk bedoeld. Het ging mij om het systeem dat tot corruptie uitnodigt.”
